Welcome To The Beauty Blog

Hey babe! If you’re reading this, that means you found us! Yay! Welcome to KSTYLED ❤ we’re happy you’re here. You can consider us your dream team! That’s me on the left. I’m Karsyn, and I do all of the makeup services here at KSTYLED. My sister, Kamryn, is on the right. She does all of the hair and lash services here! She is also our amazing event stylist! We are so glad to meet you, even if it is only through words for now!

We decided to incorporate a blog into our business because we want to connect with you. We want to be more than just your stylists! I think it’s only fitting that while we make people feel their prettiest for events, weddings or even date nights, we also share the real and raw conversations that circle around the topic of beauty.
We want to celebrate the special beauty that makes each of us unique. In later posts I’ll share more of my story and what makes me, me, but for now I hope you join me, as we dig into the meaning of true beauty!

Inner beauty comes in 2 parts. The non physical beauty (what’s on the inside) and how that spills out into your physical beauty. This #FEELGOODFRIDAY we’re talking about the non physical, beautiful things that make you, you. What is it? How do I channel it? Do I even have it? These are all questions I know I’ve asked myself and maybe you’ve asked yourself too.
Beauty comes from within. Now, maybe that sentence is a little cliche and (extremely) worn out, but if we dig into what that really means, maybe you will see it in a new light. We all have little things about us, maybe we like them or maybe we don’t, that make us our own kind of special. These little things set us apart from one another, and if you’re anything like me, that’s pretty exciting. We want you to see that every single person is a puzzle of a million little pieces that make up a whole masterpiece. For instance, have you ever met someone who’s laugh was funnier than the actual joke? Or someone who’s mere presence brings you comfort? Or maybe it’s something as small as the exciting way someone tells a story. Those little things are what make us, us. It’s the things that run deeper than our skin. It’s the things that you can’t buy, get rid of or change.
The most magical part about being you is knowing with full confidence that you can be imitated but you will never be duplicated.
YOU are your own kind of pretty and instead of trying to shy away from those amazing things that make you, you, EMBRACE THEM! Love your laugh, be that comfort and tell that story. Be your own kind of pretty. Because the things you want to change could be the parts of you that people love the most. We need one of you!

I encourage you to think about what makes you, you. Jot them down, read them and re read them, think back on things people have noticed about who you are and dwell on the beautiful, different things about you. These things aren’t physical, in fact that’s the whole story of inner beauty. Inner beauty encompasses the ideas that the very most beautiful things about us are the things that maybe we don’t even see as beautiful. Maybe they’re things that we didn’t even realized fit in that category. Those are the things that make you, you. Embrace them, channel them, love them! There is indeed only one of you and we need you here! We need your kinda pretty.
Next FEEL GOOD FRIDAY, we’ll talk about the other half of inner beauty, the physical side! My hope is that maybe you would feel empowered and love the special things about you! I’ll see you next week! ❤
XOXO,
Karsyn

What’s on my desk
I spend more and more time at my desk these days, doing everything from preparing the family taxes to working on this blog. Because of this, my workspace is constantly changing. Holding the clutter at bay is challenging, so I prefer to keep nearby only a few quality items that serve multiple purposes over a stockpile of things I might never need.
My daily planner
My planner is one of those simple ring binder journals you can pick up from any stationery supplies store. White paper. No ruled lines to cage my venturesome handwriting and doodling. I’m an obsessive note-taker and fill pages to the margins with to do lists, rough sketches, and ideas for blog posts. I usually go through one planner every month.
Travel Tips
There are millions of tips out there on how to fly with kids, what to bring on camping vacations, which suitcase to buy, where to go and what to see in just about every corner on Earth. What I want to share today is something a little different – something that we discovered last summer during a family hike in the Appalachians.
Staying Organized
Who me? Organized? My husband might tell you otherwise, but I do find it hard to keep track of our weekly schedule. You know: school, swimming, grocery shopping, tidying up, paying bills, remembering appointments and so on. Fortunately, in our house we all pitch in. No one person does everything. But we do have a little secret that helps our day run more smoothly.
